Police have arrested nine people for their alleged involvement in leaking question.

They were rounded up from different areas of the country in the last five days, said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police in a press briefing on Thursday.

CID’s Special Police Superintendent Molla Nazrul Islam said, “Our target was to uproot the question leak racket altogether. With these nine arrests we achieved that.”

The arrested are Assistant Director of BKSP Alip Kumar Biswas, Assistant Administrative Officer of BADC Mostafa Kamal, a 36th BCS non-cadre Ibrahim, 38th BCS preliminary qualified Ayub Ali Badhan, English teacher of Capitals Agrani School Golam Mohammad Babul, Peon Anwar Hosen Majumder and Md Nurul Islam, Social Science teacher of Dhanmondi Government Boys School Hosne Ara Begum and Peon Hasmot Ali Shikder.

Many of them including Alip, the mastermind of the ring made a fortune by selling question papers, said SP Nazrul.
