As many as 285 centers with a capacity to accommodate 16,505 people have been prepared for institutional quarantine across the country, says Directorate General of Health Services.
“For COVID-19 patients, 4,515 isolation units including 1,050 in Dhaka have been set up,” a DGHS notice said on Sunday (Mar 22).
According to the notice, 29 intensive care units (ICU) have been prepared for coronavirus infected people in Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital, Sheikh Rasel Gastroliver Hospital, Regent Hospital in Uttara and Mirpur, Sajida Foundation Hospital.
“Sixteen more ICUs are being prepared,” it added.
“As many as seven centers are specified to test coronavirus infection,” the notice said before adding that five dialysis beds have been set in Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital for the infected patients.
