Located in the borders of Ramna, Badda, Rampura, Gulshan and Tejgaon police stations, Hatirjheel residents earlier found it difficult to get services from the police as on many occasions the stations tried to avoid taking cases giving excuse to lack of clear demarcation of their territories.
Officer-in-Charge of the newly established police station Abu Md Fazlul Karim said, “Hatirjheel is located in the borders of five police stations and it created territorial jurisdiction complicacy. Now we have brought the area under one police station to give proper service to the residents.”
