A worker at a under construction building has been electrocuted in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.
The incident occurred around 10am on Monday (Jul 15).
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Md Touhid.
“Touhid became unconscious after he electrocuted while working at the sixth floor of the under construction building at road no 1 in Dhanmondi,” said victim’s co-worker Abdur Razzak.
He was rushed to a local hospital, later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctor pronounced him dead.
“The body has been kept at the hospital for autopsy,” said DMCH police camp Inspector Md Baccu Mia.
