ACC to seek ex-JP secy gen Howlader's wealth details

File photo shows  Jatiya Party former Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin HowladerThe Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to serve Jatiya Party former Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader a notice seeking details of his wealth.
The decision was taken at a ACC meeting at its headquarters in the city's Segunbagicha on Thursday (May 23), said its Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
Earlier on May 14, the corruption watchdog summed Howlader and instructed him to appear at its office on Apr 20.
Later, the JP leader filed a time plea citing he would to travel so Saudi Arabia to perform Omrah.
The summon on May 14 came came after the Appellate Division, on Apr 28, stayed a High Court order that had stayed the watchdog’s notice to Howlader.
On Apr 3, the HC stayed the ACC’s notice to Howlader after the ACC sent notice summoning the JP leader for interrogation on allegations of corruption on Mar 28.
