The Dhaka University authorities has opened a probe into the allegations of irregularities and rigging in the Mar 11 elections to the central students’ union (DUCSU) and hall unions.
Vice-Chancellor Md Akhteruzzaman has constituted a committee and asked it to file its findings by seven working days, the university said in a statement on Thursday (Mar 21).
Mathematics Department Supernumerary Profession Sajeda Banu will head the seven-strong panel, it said.
The decision comes after different panels that contested the elections announced protests demanding fresh polls alleging the Mar 11 voting was marred by rigging and irregularities
