Militant tries to commit suicide

Golam Hossain alias MiladA militant tried to commit suicide by jumping from the six-storey building of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit, CTTC. The name of the person is Golam Hossain alias Milad. He is believed to be a member of the Neo-JMB.

He was later sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.

At this moment, he is out of danger. A part of his leg got burnt as he fell over power lines.

CTTC Additional Commissioner Monirul Islam, said, “Milad was in remand and was supposed to be produced before court in Tuesday; at one point of questioning, he jumped from the six-storey building.”

Milad was arrested last Friday from Demra. On Monday morning, he wanted to go to the toilet and while being taken to the washroom, punched the guards, loosened himself and ran to the roof.

Reportedly, on Feb 15, the CTTC received an email about a possible target killing attempt and following the information arrested Al Amin, who led law enforcers to Milad.

Hailing from Habiganj, Milad used to carry out propaganda via the net.
