The students of Kabi Nazrul Government College in Dhaka took to the streets demanding the fulfillment of a six-point demand.

The students poured into the road in front of main gate of the institution and later spread to Victoria Park and Laxmibazar area at on Saturday (Feb 9) morning.

The protest caused traffic to come to a standstill in the area.

“Our six-point demand includes the completion of the Shaheed Samsul Alam hall to a well accommodated one, extend academic buildings and increase the number of teachers,” said one of the protesters Moin Uddin Arif.

Arif added that the college Awami League president and the general secretary have expressed solidarity with the demands.
