Rajib death: Court wants probe report on Feb 6

Rajib Hossain, who had lost an arm in a race between two buses in Dhaka on Apr 3, died of the severe head injuries sustained in the accident on Apr 17.A Dhaka court has fixed Feb 6 as the day to submit the probe report on the death of Titumir College student Rajib Hossain, who died after his hand was dismembered in a bus accident.
Judge Sarafuzzaman Chowdhury gave the order on Monday (Jan 7), Mahmudur Rahman, General Recording Officer (GRO) told Bangla Tribune.
The report was supposed to be submitted on Monday itself but the investigating officer Sub Inspector Aftab Ali failed to submit the probe report yet again.
On Apr 3, Rajib was standing at the gate of a BRTC bus when a Shajal Paribahan bus overtook the vehicle and he lost his arm in the accident.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries on Apr 17 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
A case was filed over the incident with Shahbag police and after his death, on Apr 23, the court approved a plea for the case to be filed as death caused by reckless driving.
