The depression at the Bay of Bengal has morphed into Cyclone 'GAJA' which is lying over the East-central Bay and adjoining areas at the moment.
According to Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the cyclone might be more concentrated and move towards the north-western areas.
The Maritime ports have been advised to hoist the Distant Warning Signal No Two. The fishing trawlers and boats have been advised to stay near the coast.
The weather office reports that the wind speed has reached almost 88 per hour and forecasted light drizzle in the Chattogram area.
