Students of Dhaka University (DU) demonstrated on the campus demanding a re-take of the ‘Gha’ unit entrance test.

The students who gathered at DU premises on Thursday (Oct 18) demanded cancellation of the Oct 12 test amid allegations of leaked question papers.
The human chain demonstration in front of the ‘Raju Vaskorzo’ memorial also demanded punishment and expulsion of people involved recently and previously with question paper leaks.
The demonstrators expressed solidarity with Law student Akhtar Hossain, who has been on a hunger strike since Tuesday (Oct 16), saying that the DU authorities were ‘weak for not expelling the miscreants’.
Recently there were allegations that the questions for the entrance exam of DU’s ‘Gha’ unit had been leaked.
The Detective Branch of police arrested six people, who have been booked in a Digital Security Act case started by the DU.
As the suspects were found in possession of the questions, students demanded that the exams be taken again.
DU authorities, however, published the results on Oct 16 anyway where 26.21 percent students cleared the exams.
DU Vice Chancellor Akhtaruzzaman said that the questions being leaked, did not affect the validity of the results.
