Two female 'militants' surrender in Narsingdi

The militants have been identified as Khadiza Akter Meghna and Mou, CTTC chief Monirul Islam told media following their surrender. BANGLA TRIBUNETwo female 'militants' have surrendered to Counter Terrorism and Transnational  Crime (CTTC) Unit of police in Narsingdi’s Madhabdi area where the elite unit has been preparing a raid in a seven-storied building.  

The militants have been identified as Khadiza Akter Meghna and Mou, CTTC chief Monirul Islam told media following their surrender.

During the briefing a huge explosion was heard from the militant hideout, where the bomb disposal unit was working.

Monirul Islam also said that identities of the bodies recovered after Tuesday’s operation codenamed Gordian Knot were found. They have been identified as Abdullah Al Bangali and Aklima Akter Moni.

Since Wednesday morning, members of law enforcing agencies cordoned off the building, suspecting to be a militant hideout following Tuesday’s operation.

Section 144 was enforced surrounding the area as security forces were preparing to start their operation in the seven-storied building in Madhabdi.
