Two people have been arrested over alleged rape of a 9th grader teen girl in Chattogram, said police.
The arrested are— Md Shamim, 29 and Sanzida Chowdhury.
The duo was arrested after the victim and her mother filed a case naming them as suspects on Sunday afternoon, Chattogram’s Pahartali police OC Swadip Kumar Das told Bangla Tribune.
According to case dossiers, Shamim, the prime accused raped the girl with the help of Sanzida, a neighbour of the victim.
The incident reportedly took place about 3, 4 months ago.
The victim was physically abused all through the night, before both accused kicked her out of the house in the morning with a threat to keep it all a secret, the complaint reads.
