Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two officials of private telecom company, Grameenphone in connection with fraudulent distribution of SIM cards using names of different companies.

“Sayed Tanvirur Rahman, a Senior Executive (Business Sales) of the company, along with another member of the SIM fraudulent ring, were held during a raid on Saturday night, said Mufti Mahmud Khan, legal and media wing director of RAB.

“Huge number of illegal SIMs were seized from them,” added the elite force unit official.

“Details will be revealed later in the day,” Mufti Mahmud Khan said.
