The prison authorities have not allowed BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s counsels to meet their client at the old jailhouse in Dhaka.
Counsels AJ Mohammad Ali, Sanaullah Mia, and Masud Talukder arrived at the entrance of the facility on Old Dhaka’s Nazimuddin Road just after 3pm.
After waiting for nearly two hours, they were denied entry.
“Despite having prior clearance, the prison authorities did not allow us to meet our client,” said Talukder told the media before leaving.
He said that a court hearing is scheduled for Sep 21 and that they hope they can meet their client on Wednesday (Sept 19).
