Zahidul Islam alias Boma Mizan. Times of IndiaHome Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has said that the deadly Jamaa'tul Mujaheedin Bangladesh (JMB) bomber Zahidul Islam alias 'Boma Mizan', who was held by India National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday (August 7), will extradite to Bangladesh soon.
“As Bangladesh has Extradition Treaty with India, Mizan will be brought back under that agreement,” he said while talking to the media at his residence in Tajgaon on Friday (August 10).
Boma Mizan was one of the four terrorists freed by JMB operatives from a prison van on February 23, 2014 in a highway ambush on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway. One of the four freed was later killed in a shootout with police.
Times of India says, Mizan was arrested following tip-off the sleuths got from two persons arrested in Kerala on Sunday.
Quoting sources, the Times of India report said Mizan had visited Malappuram several times and made the arrangements for the stay of other accused. He is an expert in bomb-making.
NIA has recovered circuits for making bombs, explosives, diagram, laptops and mobile phones.
The blast in Bodh Gaya was believed to be in retaliation for the killings of Rohingya Muslims by the Buddhists in Myanmar.
