Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has vowed to continue the crackdown on corruption, narcotics, terrorism and illegal casino operation.
"Crackdown against casino and graft will continue at all strata of the society. Whoever is involved in [running] casinos and corruption will face action," she told the parliament during the question-and-answer session on Wednesday (Nov 13).
Hasina said, "The government's ongoing crackdown against social crimes will cover all sectors and all places in each district, upazila and municipality [of the country]."
"The government has sought information from the Singapore authorities on details of the people who visited casinos there," she informed the House.
