Those trips were made on four diffident purposes namely training, workshop, seminar, and other that include pre-shipment inspection, and factory inspection.
Of the officials, maximum 1,703 made overseas trips for others purpose while 1,226 officials attended trainings at abroad with 28 and 8 officials participated in foreign seminars and workshops respectively.
The development came at a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Ministry on Thursday (Oct 17).

The meeting discussed the foreign trips made by the officials employed at companies under the Power Division and its different ongoing projects, said a media release.
It, however, didn’t reveal the details of officials who made the trips.
