Bangladesh is now home to a total of 1,118,576 Rohingyas, who have fled persecution in Myanmar, says Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.
Addressing the parliament on Wednesday, he said that registration and biometric screening of all the Rohingyas living in the country has been finished.
“There are no undocumented Rohingyas now,” Kamal said before adding the registration facility is now being only used to document newborns.
Nearly 700,000 Rohingyas crossed the border into Bangladesh since Aug 25 last year, fleeing a military crackdown in Rakhine in response to insurgents attacks.
