Over 900 colleges see 100 percent pass rate

As many as 909 colleges in the country have seen a 100 percent pass rate in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams. Meanwhile, the number of institutions in zero percent pass rate has come down this year. A total of 41 institutions have come out with zero pass rates which were 55 in the previous year.
The combined results of this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations under 10 education boards were published on Wednesday (Jul 17) morning.
Education minister Dr Dipu Moni handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence around 10am.
The chairmen of all the education boards were also present at the handover ceremony.
Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), Alim, HSC Vocational, HSC (Business Management) and Diploma in Business Studies (DIBS) examinations were held under eight general education boards, madrasa and technical education boards from Apr 1 to May 23.
All candidates can get their results from their respective examination centres; educational institutions; websites of their respective boards and through SMS on their mobile phones from 1:00pm, officials said.
