There are no problems with the roads, rather with the order in the transports, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
“I have no reservations about Eid journey this year,” he said on Thursday (May 30).
“There might be a bit of a problem in the Gazipur and airport road due to the work of BRT (Bus Rapid Transit),” he added.
The minister said that he has called on the Gazipur mayor appoint 300 volunteers in that area and other than that particular area, there won’t be any traffic issues elsewhere.
He said that now that the new Meghna-Gumti bridges were opened to the public, the usual traffic in that area will no longer be an issue.
