Bangladesh Chhatra League is demonstrating on the Dhaka University campus on Tuesday rejecting the results of the DUCSU elections.
Protests began in the morning, after quota reform leader Nurul Haque Nur was elected vice president of DUCSU in the elections held on Monday (Mar 11).
BCL activists are demonstrating near the vice-chancellor's residence.
They burned two tyres near the vice chancellor’s residence, raising slogans that the election was “a farce” and demanding a re-vote.
BCL's call for a re-election comes after wave of protests by all major opposing panels who boycotted the election alleging irregularities soon after polls closed.
