People responsible for attempts to leverage workers’ protests for personal gain or serving any groups’ vested interest will be brought under the law, said DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia.
“The intelligence agencies have been instructed to look into possible attempts of sabotage by provoking the workers,” DMP chief told the media on Saturday (Jan 12) after distributing winter clothes among the trans gender community at the capital's Mirpur.
He said that the Ministry of Labor and Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) are working on dissolving the crisis.
“The workers’ demand will be met very soon,” he said.
DMP commissioners also urged the RMG workers to return to their work places.
