The International Migrants Day-2018 is being observed on Tuesday in the country in a befitting manner, elsewhere across the globe.
On the day, the government has chalked out various national programmes like other countries of the world, with the theme ‘Immigration Rights-Dignity and Justice’.
Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary-in-Charge Rounak Jahan came up with the information on Monday at a press conference in the expatriate welfare ministry’s conference room, reports state news agency BSS.
Marking the day, a programme will be organized at Hall of Fame in city’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Wednesday where President M Abdul Hamid is expected to present as the chief guest.
Later, an international immigration fair and a cultural program will be held.
