REUTERS FILE PHOTOAll three nominations filed by jailed BNP chief Khaleda Zia for contesting in the upcoming parliamentary election from Feni-1, Bogura-6 and Bogura-7 constituencies have been revoked.
In Bogura-6 and Bogura-7, Returning Officer Foyez Ahmed rejected the nomination papers of Khaleda due to her conviction in two corruption cases on Sunday (Dec 2) reports our Bagura correspondent.
In Feni-1, Returning Officer Md Wahiduzzaman rejected the nomination papers of Khaleda in the constituency on Sunday (Dec 2), our Feni correspondent adds.
BNP Secretary General Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is likely to contest from for Bogura-6 as the alternative to Khaleda Zia while Rafiqul Islam, General Secretary of Jubo Dal Dhaka south city unit, from Feni-1 parliamentary seat.
