Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda will announce the schedule for 11th National Election on Thursday (Nov 8) in an address to the nation.
His address will be telecast by national broadcasters — BTV and Bangladesh Betar at 7pm, says a statement by the Election Commission (EC).
The schedule will be finalised in an EC meeting on Thursday following which the CEC’s address will be recorded by the national broadcasters at 3pm.
It comes in line with the previous statements of Chief Election Commissioner and ruling alliance that there will be no delay in announcing the schedule amid calls from opposition to defer the general election.
