Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s press conference, where she was expected to discuss the pre-polls talks held with political parties, has been postponed.
The media call was scheduled for Thursday (Nov 8) at 1pm, hours before the chief election commissioner is expected to announce the schedule for the general election in an address to the nation.
Deputy Press Secretary to the PM Ashraful Alam Khokan said that the revised schedule for the press conference will be announced later.
On Monday, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader told the media that the prime minister will discuss the political talks in a press conference “possibly on Nov 8 or 9”.
