The schedule for the general election will be announced in the first week of November, says Election Commission Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed.
He made the announcement on Thursday while briefing the media after a meeting between a European Union delegation and Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda.
“The delegation said they want a free, fair and all-inclusive election,” he said.
Responding a query, EC Secretary Ahmed said the EU delegation also discussed the issues of EVMs, polls observers, expatriate vote casting and the electoral roll.
