No one will be able to stop Bangladesh’s progress: Hasina

“It is my firm belief that none will be able to halt this pace of uplift and it’s also the responsibility of all to keep up this development,” she said while inaugurating the newly-constructed Chancery Complex of Bangladesh Consulate at the Diplomatic Quarters in Riaydh, reports BSS.
The premier opened the chancery complex by unveiling its plaque at a ceremony in the Saudi capital on Wednesday.
The prime minister reaffirmed her optimism that Bangladesh will be turned into a middle income country by 2021 and a developed and prosperous one by 2041.
“We have approved the Delta Plan 2100 keeping in mind that how Bangladesh of 2100 will be developed … we adopted this plan so that the pace of development continues,” she said, seeking cooperation of all in this regard.
About the next election, the prime minister said there is a rule that the process for election starts before the three months of the polls.
“We will stay in power if the people give vote to us, otherwise not. But we accomplished the work that was very much essential for development of the country,” she said.
About her meeting with the Saudi king, the prime minister said a good discussion was held between them.
She said the talks were held in a very warm and cordial environment and the King accepted her proposal to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
Highlighting her government’s steps for ensuring welfare of the expatriate Bangladeshis, the prime minister said the government will build hajj offices in Makkah and Madinah if land is available there.
