With services like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu viewers across the world now prefer it over conventional TV channel.
Bangladeshi viewers have also opted to ride the ‘entertainment on demand’ boat with video-sharing site YouTube on top of the choice, prompting studios to produce web series.
Several production houses now produce web-exclusive contents and Gangchil is the latest to jump on bandwagon.
Its latest production “Opekkha” is set to be released on its YouTube channel ‘Gangchil Drama and Cinema’ Thursday afternoon.
Shoumik Ahmed and Tasnuva Tisha are playing the lead role in the drama directed by Partha Poliniuj Falia and based on the story by Owarish Asad Nafi.
The drama includes a new song titled “Bhallage Na” by Mumbai-based singer Ringo Basu. With the lyrics of Galib Sardar, Pavel Rafiq arranged the music composition for the brand new song, which will be released on Gangchil’s youtube channel on Thursday.
“It’s great a story and the songs go well with it. I believe the viewers will like it,” said actor Shoumik.
