Actress and TV anchor Tazin Ahmed died after suffering a cardiac arrest.Actress and TV anchor Tazin Ahmed has been buried in his father’s grave on Wednesday.
Relatives, co-workers, friends and well-wishers bid the final farewell to her at the Banani graveyard in Dhaka. She was laid to rest around 2:43pm following the funeral prayer at the Gulshan Azad Mosque.
The 41-year-old was declared dead at a Dhaka hospital on Tuesday after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Relatives, co-workers, friends and well-wishers gathered at the graveyard to bid the final farewell.An unconscious Tazin was taken to the Regent Hospital in the capital just after 3pm from her home. She was immediately put on life support. At 4:20pm the doctors pronounced her dead.
Born on Jul 30, 1975, in Noakhali, she was raised in Old Dhaka. A management graduate from Eden Women’s College, Tazin had also worked as a journalist for Bangla nationals, Bhorer Kagoj and Prothom Alo.
The 41-year-old has been buried at her father`s grave in the capital Banani graveyard.A versatile actress, Tazin was a television anchor, theatre performer, playwright and journalist.
She started her career on TV during the mid-nineties. Her first TV appearance was on “Shesh Dekha Shesh Noy,” a BTV drama. Tazin continued working in stage theatre too. She had been working for Aranyak Natyadal since 2000. Before that, she worked with Natyajan.
Besides acting on the small screen and in theatre, Tazin Ahmed is also known for her work as a director and a TV anchor, as well as a playwright. “Jatak” and “Jogphol” are two plays she wrote and directed.
