Krish, the first superhero film of India, was released in 2006 where Bolywood superstar Hritwik Roshan appeared wearing a black mask.
It was a huge box office success, prompting two more sequels.
The last Krish franchise came out in 2013. Playing as the first-ever Indian superhero, Hritwik donned a black mask. And this year, Dhalywood superstar Shakib Khan is appearing in the same mask in the upcoming “Chittagainga Poa Noakhailla Maia” movie.
The trailer is out on social media, where Shakib is seen donning the now-trademark Krish mask, but it’s yet to be clear whether he is playing as a superhero.
Director Uttam Aksah, however, could not be reached for a comment as his phone was found switched off.
According to those related to the movie, poised to be released this year, Shakib will appear in one certain scene donning the mask. But the whole film, a comedy, centres on people from the two southeastern districts— Chittagong and Noakhali.
Director Akash had said that they have submitted the movie to the censor board on May 10 and they expect it to release during the Eid.
Bubli is the lead actress of the Khan Productions movie while the cast includes Omar Sunny, Mousumi, Sadek Bachchu and Kazi Hayat.
