Oishee finishes just outside Top 12 at Miss World 2018

Bangladeshi beauty Jannatul Ferdous Oishee has finished in the Top 30 at the 68th edition of the 'Miss World' competition in Sanya, China..
Vanessa Ponce from Mexico won the 'Miss World' crown for 2018, ahead of Miss Thailand Nicolene Limsnukan.
Oishee, from Pirojpur, represented Bangladesh in the competition held in the city of Sanya in China as the reigning Miss Bangladesh.
Earlier she emerged top of Group-6 in the head-to-head challenge phase of the competition, guaranteeing her place in the final 30, reports UNB.
Oishee was born in Mativanga village of Pirojpur district. The 18-year-old beauty passed her Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination from science group this year.
She won the 'Miss World Bangladesh-2018' title leaving behind 30,000 contestants earlier this year.
Oishee is the second Miss Bangladesh to have gone on to compete for the Miss World title.
Jessia Islam took part in last year's Miss World competition as the first contestant from Bangladesh fishing herself among the top 40.

REUTERSOn Saturday, Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar took to the stage to hand over the crown to Vanessa Ponce de Leon, who is the first woman from her country to win the title.
Miss Thailand Nicolene Limsnukan was the runner-up.
"I can't believe it, I really can't believe it... And I think all the girls deserved it. I am proud to represent all of them. I will do as much as I can in the time I have got. Thank you so much, everyone," Vanessa said backstage after winning the crown.
Having pursued a degree in International Business, Vanessa, is currently on the board of directors of a rehab centre for girls and volunteers for 'Migrantes en el Camino'. She is a speaker for the National Youth Institute as well as working as a model and a presenter.
An adventurous soul, she has qualified as an open water scuba diver, and also enjoys playing volleyball, painting and ultimate Frisbee, according to the official Miss World website.
Thailand's representative Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan, 20, got the runner-up spot.
The other the top five beauties included contestants from Belarus, Jamaica and Uganda.
A total of 118 contestants participated in the contest this year.
