Two people were killed and at least 10 others injured when a bus overturned on Dhaka-Rangpur highway at Dhaperhat area in Sadullapur Upazila on Friday.
The incident took place around 5am when a Dinajpur-bound bus from Dhaka overturned during overtaking a truck in the area left two died on spot, locals and police said.
The victims were identified as the driver Saiful Mia, 40, and Chandi Akter, 10.
Gobindaganj Highway Police OC Akhtaruzzaman said the bus and the bodies have been brought to police station.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
