Cox`s BazarAn official of International Organization for Migration has been found dead at a Cox’s Bazar hotel in yet unclear circumstance.
Police recovered the body of 25-year-old Touhidul Islam from the town’s Hotel Holiday late on Thursday.
Islam, who hailed from Patiya Upazila of Chattogram (Chittagong), worked as a health offer at the IOM.
Police suspected Islam might have suffered a stroke.
“The cause of death will be confirmed after an autopsy,” Cox’s Bazar police OC Farid Uddin said.
The body was sent to the state-owned hospital.
An IMO official, however, finds it ‘mysterious’.
“He did not die of stroke, it’s rather mysterious,” said Md Alamagir, who is the head of IMO health department.
