A woman and her two daughters were hacked to death in Boubazar area of Siddhirganj upazila on Thursday (Sept 19) morning.

The deceased were identified as Nasrin, 28, wife of Sumon Mia; and their daughters - Nusrat, 6, and Khadiza, 2. Another victim was rescued from the spot and admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with stab wounds.

Sazzad Roman, inspector (special branch) of Narayanganj police said, 'the police have cordoned off the spot and the forensic team is on its way to collect evidence'.

Police recovered the bodies after being informed and sent them to a local hospital.
