Bangladeshi gunned down in New York

The victim Ariful Yakub Rony.A 24-year-old Bangladesh national has been shot dead in New York.
The victim, Ariful Yakub Rony hailed from the southeastern Bangladesh district of Feni.
He lived with his family at the Church-McDonald area of New York, a Feni-based relative Farhad Hossain told Bangla Tribune.
Rony was shot while another Bangladeshi sustained knife injuries in Brooklyn’s Flatbush neighbourhood on Thursday, he said quoting New York police.
At least four young men were involved in a clash in front of an apartment building at 550 Ocean Avenue in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, according to witnesses.
At one point, the perpetrators fled after shooting Rony and stabbing the other.
He was taken to the King County Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
The identity of the other man, who received stab injuries, is yet to be known.
Rony’s Feni-based uncle Hossain, said Rony used to drive taxi to pay his tuitions.
They are yet to know why he went there or who the man with him was.
