World’s third largest Iftar gathering in Satkhira!

Around 10,000 people attend at the Iftar everyday here.In Satkhira’s Nalta, country’s largest Iftar gathering is being held at the premises of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah shrine, like every year.
Around ten thousand people attend at the Iftar everyday what it made the world’s third largest Iftar gathering following the holy place Mecca and Medina, according to the shrine authority.
Satkhira Ahsania Mission General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Uzzal said, “Nowhere in the world except the Mecca and Medina, is such an ample gathering of Iftar held.”
Since 1950, the Central Ahsania Mission of Sathkhira has been arranging the Iftar service at the Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah’s shrine at Nalta in Kaliganj.
Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah was an educator, litterateur, Islamic theologist and social reformer of Pre-partition India.
Keeping away all kinds of prejudices, people of different walks rush to the holy gathering to gain divine blessings from the Almighty, says the mission sources.
“Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah himself started arranging the Iftar here which the mission authority still kept on running”, said the accountant of the Ahsania Mission Ebadul Huq.
More than 400 hundred volunteers work to organize the huge gathering.Iftar at the premises costs Tk 2, 70, 000 per day and more than 400 hundred volunteers work to organize the huge gathering.
Fans and followers across the world use to finance the Iftar, said the mission authority.
