Officer-in-Charge of Damurhuda police station in Chuadanga has been withdrawn as he allegedly helped an accused to flee.
Akram Hossain was attached with the police line following his withdrawal from the station on May 28.
Chuadanga Police Super Mahbubur Rahman said, “The OC was withdrawn as there is an allegation that he helped a drug dealer to escape. A three-member committee has been formed. We will know the facts after getting the report and if necessary we will take legal action.”
The committee will be headed by Additional Police Super Tarikul Islam and the other members are assistant police super Ahsan Habib and inspector Golam Mohammad.
