A seven-year-old girl has been killed after she was run over by a brick-laden trolley in Khulna.
The incident was reported around 10am on Thursday (Mar 21) at Chotodil area in Rupsa Upazila’s Anandanagar village, said police.
The victim has been identified as Akhi Moni, a first grader of Sufiya Aziz Kindergarten School in Anandanagar.
“Akhi was hit by the trolley when she was crossing the road in front of her school to buy food from a shop,” said Rupsa police OC Mollah Zakir Hossain.
“She died on the spot,” said Hossain.
Police said that thay have detained Milon Sheikh, the driver of the lorry and seized the vehicle.
