A woman has been killed in a gas cylinder explosion in Gazipur, says the fire service.
The incident was reported from Gilarchal village in the district’s Sreepur Upazila around 6am on Tuesday (Mar 5).
The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Selina Akhter, said Sreepur Fire Service Station Office Al Amin.
“Selina sustained serious burn injuries after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in their house early on Tuesday,” he said before adding that the victim died on the spot.
The body has been handed over to Sreepur police, added Al Amin.
