102 drug peddlers surrendered to police on Feb 16 in presence of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in Teknaf,Cox’s Bazar.A total of 102 yaba smugglers have surrendered with 350,000 yaba tablets and 30 guns at Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf Upazila.
The smugglers surrendered in front of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at Teknaf Pilot High School on Saturday (Feb 16).
102 drug peddlers surrendered to police on Feb 16 in presence of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in Teknaf,Cox’s Bazar.They were brought onto the stage set for their surrender at 10:30 am from a safe house where they have been kept.
According to police sources, among the 102 drug peddlers who surrendered, 35 are yaba godfathers. Arms and yaba recovery cases will be filed against them.
Inspector General of Police Javed Patwary and Ukhiya-Teknaf lawmaker Shahin Akhter were present at the surrendering ceremony in addition to the home minister.
