Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained one person during a raid at a suspected militant den at Chapanawabganj district’s Shibnarayanpur village in Shibganj Upazila.

The raid which started from 3:30am Tuesday (Jan 22) ended after four and half hours.

At 8am RAB-5 Commander Lt Col Mahbubul Alam officially announced the end of the raid and said, “Acting on information that two, three suspects in the Holey Artisan Bakery attack are staying in Shibnarayanpur village, members of RAB surrounded 15 to 20 houses.”

“We didn’t find the said suspects until 8am in the morning. However, one Monirul Islam has been detained for questioning,” he added.
