Bodies of two unidentified men have been recovered from the Buringanga River in Keraniganj, said police.

South Keraniganj police Sub-inspector Md Firoz Uddin said that the bodies were recovered around 8pm Thursday from Farashganjghat and Milbarakghat after locals spotted the bodies floating on water and informed them.

The bodies have been sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College morgue for autopsy, added Uddin.

"One of the bodies didn’t have any mark of injuries while the other had signs of assault on the head and behind right knee," said Uddin before adding, "the cause of deaths will be clear once the autopsy report is available."
