Chevron provides support for quality education

Chevron officials and chairmen of school management committees seen at a contribution handover ceremony in SylhetIn an effort to boost quality education in its areas of operation, Chevron has been continuously supporting four schools near its Bibiyana Gas Field.
Under its social investment programmes, Chevron has contributed to the schools so that students will be better educated.
A simple ceremony was held to hand over the contribution with representatives of the four selected schools at the gas field.
Chairmen of school management committees, principals and teachers of some of the selected schools, Managing Director for Chevron Asia-South Brad Middleton, Chevron Bangladesh’s incoming and outgoing Presidents Neil Menzies and Kevin Lyon respectively, Operations Director Gary Orr, Bibiyana Gas Plant Superintendent Bryan Mitisek were also present at the programme.
The funds will enable school management to recruit additional faculty in English, science and mathematics to improve quality of teaching in those subjects, says a press release.
