National Board of Revenue, NBR, has asked for a specific proposal from the traders, professional associations for the 2019-20 budget.
NBR and business body FBCCI have been asked to send a written proposal by Mar 27 next.
In order to ensure a participatory, pro-people and balanced budget, traders, professional bodies, research institutes, and civil society members are asked to present budget proposals.
NBR also organizes discussion programmes with them. The received suggestions are then carefully considered by NBR.
NBR feels that with the assistance of all others, a pro-people, tax and industry-friendly budget can be formulated.
A government notice says that to make the revenue collection meaningful, analytical and practical the NBR wants to present a budget after thorough discussion.
All bodies have been asked to send their budget proposals in writing by Mar 27 next. At the same time, a soft copy has to be sent to [email protected].
