A declaration will come this afternoon about a hike in the price of gas, said Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission, BERC.
However, no one specified the increased rate.

It’s found that the commission has proposed to raise price of all gas, leaving out commercial entities and households.

The price is going up to meet the expenditure of Liquid Natural Gas, LNG, said PM's Energy adviser Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury.

LNG supply has begun from Aug 18 last. Initially, 100 million square feet of LNG was supplied, which now stands at 300 million square feet.
