Humaira Akther Antara earned Bangladesh its fourth gold medal at the 13th South Asian Games in Kathmandu on Monday (Dec 3).Karatist Humaira Akther Antara earned Bangladesh its fourth gold medal in total and third in karate after beating Nepal's Anu Gurung by 5-2 points in the final of the women's-61kg kumite event at the ongoing 13th South Asian Games in Kathmandu on Monday (Dec 3).
Antara, who won the first medal for Bangladesh in this SA Games on Monday winning bronze in the women's individual kata event, smashed Gul Naz of Pakistan by 4-0 points in the semifinals.
Earlier on Monday, Karatist Al Amin Islam clinched gold in the men's 60kg kumite event in the morning while Marzan Akter Priya bagged second gold of the day in women's -55kg kumite event beating Pakistani Kouser Sana by 4-3 points in the final.
Bangladesh already have bagged same number of gold medals in only two days they won in the whole Games last edition.
