Karatist Marzan Akter Priya bagged second gold medal of the day for Bangladesh in women's-55kg kumite event beating Pakistani karatist Kouser Sana by 4-3 points in the final in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games in Kathmandu on Monday (Dec 3).
Meanwhile, Al Amin Islam clinched gold in the men's 60kg kumite event in karate in the morning beating Pakistani karateka in the final by four points to secure the top place. Nepal won bronze in the same event which was the day's first event of karate.
Bangladesh won two silvers and seven bronzes in Karate on Monday.
Earlier, Bangladesh won its first gold medal in taekwondo on Monday when Dipu Chakma clinched gold in the 29+ age category in poomsae event.
