Mahmudullah Riyad (File photo)Bangladesh cricket team captain Mahmudullah Riyad is focusing on the T20 match scheduled on Sunday (Nov 3), rather than the Delhi air pollution.
However, the talk of the town is still the poor air quality rather than the Bangladesh-India series.
On Nov 1, a public health emergency was declared in the NRO region due to the poor air around Delhi.
The skipper said, “We had discussed this matter, but we have no control over the weather.”
“So we are focusing on the winning the match,” he added.
Madmudullah had never been on a game in Delhi before. Mentioning the visible smog outside, the Tiger’s skipper said, “Boys are practicing in this condition for three days. It (practicing) would help to adapt to the condition and focus on the game.”
The Tigers are scheduled to face team India on Sunday 7:30pm, at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium without star player Shakib Al Hasan who has been banned from all forms of cricket for two years.
